This set of photos is meant to be viewed together as a portrait of my sister, one of my favorite subjects in all my art, she is a beautiful, tough girl who I am lucky enough to go to school with.
I decided to title her portrait not with her name but just Spots. Spots are often seen as imperfections but hers are so descriptive and lovely. They tell a little story about her adventures and time in the sun.
This portrait series is phenomenal! It is wonderful how you are presenting us with an alternative view of a person and their story/personality. It is rare that we get to see this view. It is also very well done how you have filled the frame with the focus of your intention, "spots." The colors and lighting are handled well, with multiple sources, which add depth and texture to the images.
